Itinerary
08:00We depart from Thessaloniki (Venizelos Statue) to Siatista.
09:30Our journey to Siatista lasts approximately one and half hour. In Siatista we will visit the Paleontological Collection of Siatista which consists of bones of mammals from the Pleistocene epoch of the Coenozoic era and shells of elasmobranchii and gastropods. The collection was born in 1902, when a fossilised tusk was found in the village of Polylakko in the Aliakmon valley. Further finds were made in the years which followed and together they made up the Siatista Palaeontological Collection.
We continue our journey to Kastoria. The distance from Siatista to Kastoria lasts 45 minutes. Approximately 12:15 we will be in Kastoria. The road is Egnatia Odos and it is straight.
We return back to Thessaloniki.
